Rosamund Morley

 

A long-standing member of the Waverly Consort, Rosamund Morley has played viol, violone and vielle worldwide. In addition to her work in New York's premiere consort of viols, Parthenia, she is a founding member of My Lord Chamberlain's Consort, specializing in Elizabethan music.

She has performed with many distinguished ensembles as diverse as Sequentia, Les Arts Florissants, the Boston Camerata and ARTEK. An interest in playing contemporary music was fostered by many years in the New York Consort of Viols. A sought-after teacher, she teaches viol at Columbia University and is the director of the summer music course, Viols West, at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California.
