Nicholas Isherwood
Voice
Nicholas Isherwood is one of the leading early and contemporary music basses. He has performed with Claudio Cavina, Joel Cohen, William Christie, Marlin Haselbock, Nicholas McGegan, Paul McCreesh, Marty Perlman and Helmuth Rilling in the world's leading venues (Covent Garden, La Scala, Salzburg Festival, Tangelwood, Berlin Staatsoper, etc). He has worked with composers such as Sylvano Bussotti, Elliott Carter, George Crumb, Hans Werner Henze, Maurico Kagel, Gyorgy Kurtag, Olivier Messiaen, Giacinto Scelsi, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Iannis Xenakis.
Isherwood has recorded 53 CDs. He has published im the Journal of Singing and his book "Techniques of Singing" will be released
by Barenreiter Verlag next year. He has taught masterclasses
around the world (Paris Conservatoire, Conservatorio Giuseppe
Verdi, Salzburg Mozarteum, etc) and is currently Assistant Professor of Voice at the Universiy of Oregon. His web site is
