NEWS FROM THE AIRWAVES….
Camerata was honored in prime time during France Musique’s special program about the Fete de la Musique: listeners heard us perform a piece by William Billings, and an excerpt of our Carmina Burana, along with an announcement of next April’s 60th annniversary appearance at the Théatre de la Ville.

Some more reporting on the origins of the Fete de la Musique, including an interview with Joel Cohen.

BORROWED LIGHT IS NOW ONLINE!
Here is a full-length video, about 75 minutes long, of this major work involving music and dance, as performed March 15, 2014, at the Palais de Chaillot, Paris, France.

Music Director Emeritus Joel Cohen will be on French radio Saturday to talk about the origins of the Fête de la Musique and his role in conceiving it, way back when. Look for this conversation on France Musique circa 19:10 Paris time, via radio waves or internet streaming…
