Born in Beirut, Lebanon, I came to the United States during the Lebanese Civil War and attended Indiana University in Bloomington. After graduating, I settled in Boston, where I have lived ever since and have built a career in public service, currently working at the Department of Public Health.

I joined the Board because of my appreciation for the Boston Camerata's music, and in particular for the richly varied repertoire that Artistic Director Anne Azéma brings to the concert hall. I am especially drawn to the timeless nature of this music and to the messages of hope and peace that the Boston Camerata conveys through its performances. This is music with a universal message—programs whose themes resonate as powerfully today as they did centuries ago.

My husband and I were delighted to see Anne Azéma receive, among other distinctions, the Distinguished Artist Award at the St. Botolph Club, Boston, a place where we enjoy engaging with music and other art forms.
